Classroom Maths Activity sessions
Currently delivered online and in-person
'A fantastic enrichment day for our Y8 students. There were plenty of opportunities to explore ideas we do not have chance to do in the classroom, and students worked with fractions without realising they were doing so! Angela went ahead with the day despite our school having 'the call' from Ofsted the day before and was complimented on the activities by the inspection team.'
Engaging, challenging classroom events, scheduled to fit your timetable, and tailored to your pupils' maths needs, for pupils across the ability range in Y7-11.
These sessions build pupils' problem-solving skills, close knowledge gaps, improve confidence and resilience, and offer maths in new formats.
Pupils complete a wide range of activities individually or in small teams, including:
- card games
- problem-solving challenges
- quizzes & practical puzzles - materials can be sent to school beforehand
The programme can be tailored to fit the class year group and ability level, covering topics including:
- fractions, decimals, percentages
- ratio and proportion
- algebra
- geometry and paper-folding
